Terms & Acceptable Use

These terms apply to anyone who purchases the managed one-page website service ("the Service") from DCUK Tech ("we", "us"). By paying for the Service, you agree to these terms.

1. What the Service is

You describe what you want on a single web page. We design, write, host, and deploy that page for you, and provide you with a live link. Hosting and deployment are handled entirely by us — you do not need to create any accounts or configure anything yourself.

2. Price, delivery, and revisions

• The Service costs £49, paid once, in advance, via Stripe.
• We aim to deliver a live page within 48 hours of payment. This is a target, not a guaranteed deadline — unusually complex requests, or requests we decide need closer review (see Section 4), may take longer.
• One round of revisions is included. Further changes may be chargeable at our discretion.

3. Your responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

• Making sure what you ask us to build is lawful, and that you have the right to use any text, images, names, logos, or other material you supply or ask us to include.
• Not asking us to build anything that impersonates another person, brand, or organisation, or that is designed to deceive visitors.
• Not using the Service, or the page we build, for fraud, phishing, harassment, distribution of malware, sale of illegal goods or services, or any other unlawful purpose.

4. Our right to refuse or remove content

Because we design, host, and deploy the page ourselves, we are directly responsible for what it contains. We therefore reserve the right, at our sole discretion and at any time (including after payment or after the page has gone live), to:

• decline to build, or stop building, a page based on a request we reasonably believe is unlawful, fraudulent, infringing, or intended to deceive or harm a third party;
• take down or disable a live page we reasonably believe breaches Section 3;
• request more information about a request before starting work.

Where we decline or remove a page for these reasons before delivering it, we will normally offer a refund of the £49 fee. Where a page has already been delivered and is later found to breach these terms, we may take it down without a refund, particularly where the breach involves fraud, illegal activity, or harm to a third party.

5. Ownership

You retain all rights to the content you provide us (your text, images, brand names, etc.). We retain no ownership claim over your content. The specific page we build for you is provided for your use in connection with the Service; if you want to move it to your own hosting, contact us and we'll assist where reasonably possible.

6. Hosting and availability

Pages built through the Service are hosted by us. We aim to keep pages available on an ongoing basis but do not guarantee uninterrupted hosting, and we may withdraw hosting for a specific page with reasonable notice, including where Section 4 applies.

7. Liability

The Service is provided on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you in connection with the Service is limited to the amount you paid for it (£49). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited (for example, liability for fraud).

8. Refunds

If we have not yet started work on your page, you may request a full refund at any time by contacting us. Once work has started, refunds are at our discretion, except where required by law or where Section 4 applies.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
